Hospital Bloods

Due to reductions in Primary Care funding and increased costs of running services, we can no longer take bloods requested by consultants in hospitals, as we are not funded for the service.

(this does not include some bloods that ARE included in our contract: PSA levels, blood cancers (MGUS), Velindre cancers and Bloods that are requested on Hospital discharges)

However, as a patient you can access phlebotomy without needing a referral, you just need to take your consultant form to an appointment at any of the following;

Monnow Vale Hospital, Monmouth (for Welsh secondary care requested bloods) - 09.00 - 12:00 (Monday and Friday). Call 01600 773113 to make an appointment.
