Tests and Results

TESTS ORGANISED BY HOSPITAL DOCTORS If you have had tests conducted in a hospital setting or privately, please be aware that we do not get these results. They will be be sent straight to the hospital and you should contact the secretary of the consultant/specialist you are seeing.  Results from these tests are usually available at your next hospital appointment and/or they will write to you directly to inform you.  

Our team are able to take bloods every day, up until 11:30.  Unfortunately we are not able to offer appointments in the afternoon.   

We can also take bloods requested by your hospital doctor, it is important that you bring any forms with you. 

We are unable to take bloods not requested by your doctor or nurse.

Blood Test Results

Please allow at least two working days before telephoning for results.  Please telephone either site after 11am.  Such results are delivered electronically and need to be reviewed by a clinician before they can be reported to patients. These results are usually checked outside of seeing patients and so often aren't available first thing in the day.  Checking your medical records for results when you call can also take a few minutes and so we ask for your patience in waiting until the busiest part of the day has passed before contacting us. 

If you would like a print out of test results please ask at reception.  We are unable to provide copies via email or post but will provide a paper copy for your to collect in most circumstances.

X-Ray and Scan Results

Please allow at least seven working days before telephoning the surgery for your result.  Sometimes the result will take longer than this and your doctor, nurse or health care assistant will let you know how long to wait before contacting us for the result. Please telephone after 2pm.
